For second year, the educational workshops for the staff of the Palaio Faliro Girls' Home "Agios Alexandros" will take place. The Organization continues to support caregivers because it believes in the important role they have within the Closed Child Protection Institutions. In order to be able to offer their services to children in the best possible way, they should be supported, convey their concerns and be provided with counselling on the management of their difficult and challenging work.
Since last year, throughout the workshops of general interest which have been held, the staff has been informed about the rights of children - especially those living in closed child protection institutions – the ways of their handling and other important issues. Based on the comments of the staff, the EXELIXI ZOIS team decided for this year that the issues to be discussed, should be the questions that the staff will raise in relation to children, as well as the problems it experiences in everyday life. The programme will, therefore, be adapted and formed every time according to the arising needs.
